LOW NOISE FIREWORKS

LOW NOISE FIREWORKS

We have been working with Dynamite Fireworks with a view of the overall display now that the industry is producing more environmentally friendly low noise fireworks. Saltfest is now ready to implement LOW NOISE Fireworks for the 2024 display. There are quiet fireworks low noise fireworks displays in which the deserbells are reduced to around 75%. We have been implementing this new environmental firework policy to reduce animal disturbance.

CHURCH APPEAL

As the Church very kindly permits Saltfest to have the display over St Augustine's bell tower, we are intending to set off a small display over St. Andrews Church in the town in conjunction with the main display.

On Sunday 1st Sept Night buckets shall be handed around to collect some token funds to go towards St. Andrews roof appeal as a thank your from the town.

Any small change would be very much appreciated, as the building works to be undertaken are sustainable.

ANIMAL WELFARE CODE

The industry has very strict rules and regulations set out by Government, Local Authorities, The British Pyrotechnists Association (BPA) The British Firework Association (BFA) under Firework Code and Practices, set out for Town firework displays. There are regulations guidance's that help Domestic Pets, Ponies, Horses Welfare these include information from The Government Assist Publication, BLUE CROSS INFO RSPCA INFO helping owners with assistance in animal welfare care before and during firework displays.

You can access the festival in Vines Park via Gate One (located on Vines Lane), Gate two (accessed via the Saltway), and Gate three (situated by the B4065).

Buses

There are a number of buses which run via the Saltway Bus stop Saltway Waitrose. Please check your local bus services for more information. Bustime more info

Driving

You’ll be able to park at the pay and display car parks around Droitwich, with the closest being the Waitrose Car Park (opposite Vines Park).

Trains

After arriving at Droitwich Spa train station, it’s roughly a 10minutes walk along the canal to Vines Park Droitwich
