 | Edward Winslow Old Norse DNA The Droitwich Winslow family falls under I-BY71464 genealogical research indicate Winslow lineage belongs to the I-M253 Y-DNA haplogroup, common to the Old Norse Northern and Northwestern Europe. Winslow family Ancestor (MDKPA) was from Sweden. It is quite possible the Y-DNA ancestor of the Winslow family may have been a Swede who settled in England during the Viking Period. Salt Production King Otto I in 956AD established Salt production on the island of Laeso saturated brine was raised manually from mine shafts about 15m deep the evaporated in pans over fires.
